Balestra RED is the real estate debt platform of Balestra, a management company authorised by the AMF.
Building on our real estate expertise, we offer financing solutions dedicated to developers, property traders and private and institutional property companies in France. We combine secured financing capacity with fast, transparent decision-making. Through our shareholder, our offer carries the security and the visibility of regulated asset management.
The team
Alexia runs the platform. She joins from Groupe Atland, where she structured and led Aedgis, the group’s management company dedicated to financing real estate professionals. Before that she spent 10 years at Sienna Investment Managers, where she put in place financings secured on real assets and managed private debt funds for SMEs and mid-caps in France and across Europe. Alexia began her career at PwC as a financial auditor and is a graduate of EDHEC Business School.
Rafaël leads origination and deal analysis. He joins from RiverBank, where he spent six years and helped launch the French business. Before that, ten years in financing advisory, in equity as well as private debt: fundraising, bond and mezzanine financings, development financing and property trading deals. Rafaël is a graduate of EM Lyon Business School.

Balestra
An independent portfolio management company, authorised by the AMF since July 2024 under no. GP-20240017, member of ASPIM. Majority shareholder of the platform, it also manages the real estate debt securitisation fund.
Funds managed by AB CarVal
An alternative asset manager, part of the Private Alternatives division of AllianceBernstein. The funds bring co-investment capacity and credit risk management infrastructure.
